Preceptive will.... example: ten commandments. This will of God can be broken.
Decretive will..... example: Jonah go to Nineveh. This ‘will of God’ can not be thwarted.
I heard R.C. Sproul say that God hardens hearts (Pharaoh, etc.) by removing common grace. IOW by removing restraints and not by implanting or causing evil. It is difficult to understand to be sure.

Nope. That's not what this is really about. :) He never uses those terms.
It's very difficult to understand, but this is the one single teaching that has helped me the most in my 'sovereignty' journey.
