LOOKING TO PRAISE AND WORSHIP JESUS THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD. 18 No man has ever seen God at any time; the only unique Son, or the only begotten God, Who is in the bosom [in the intimate presence] of the Father, He has declared Him [He has revealed Him and brought Him out where He can be seen; He has interpreted Him and He has made Him known].

He should rename his book "In Defense Of Repentance-less Easy Believism". His low view of regeneration is sickening. He is clearly one who embraces the keswick view of sanctification - man's decision is the driving force. That God's workings in regeneration are what causes man to be a new creation with new desires and are the very launch pad for an individual to go on to be conformed into the image of Christ is something Lou can only pay lip service to.

To try to separate the call to salvation from the call to discipleship is unbiblical. Their argument? "Salvation is free. Discipleship costs"; or, "Christ says come and drink freely; While He bids would-be disciples to count the cost".

And this is how those who reject reformed salvation theology interpret John 6 as well. The Father is drawing disciples, those who are already saved. God is caliing, choosing those whom have accepted Him, and trusted in Him.
It's a forcing into that blessed chapter of Scripture, which is so powerfully savific from head to toe.
Oh well, that got me going. Thanks Mark for being firm and always pointing to the Scriptures.

Mark and everyone,
Lou has broken fellowship with me by refusing to allow the following comment to be posted at his blog because it might lead some of his readers astray. This really reveals a lot about Lou's basic nature in my opinion:
Lou and others,
Please note that I have started a series on regeneration at TRUE FREE GRACE This series should answer a lot of the questions that have been posed here. Justification by faith alone by a faith that is POWERFUL because it comes from a regenerated heart. This is easily provable as this series will show.
The questions and false characterizations of Calvinism are flying fast and furious here, but if anyone wants to interact on the subject of regeneration, which is required to be saved, then I will be happy to see you there!

The man has the right to remove comments with links to sites he views as objectionable.
If somebody posted a link here to a site which promoted the Occult, you would be concerned.

This will be my one and only posting. I think it is fair for readers to have an opportunity to read my note to Jazzy explaining why I did not allow his comment with a link to appear at my blog. Whether or not anyone agrees with my decision, it is a policy of mine that I hold in good conscience.
Jazzy:
I did not allow your comment that links to a blog that promotes, what is in my opinion, teaching that is largely antithetical to the Scriptures.
I do not want any my guests directed from my blog to visit a site that may cause them to stumble into the views propagated there.
If they find it on their own I have a clear conscience, but I do not want my blog to be the pathway to them.
This is my practice with any links to blogs that I feel are not in the best interest of my guests.

It is sometimes helpful to include links in comments, as they can direct one to helpful material.
However, it always worries me that some people might post links to obscene material or something dodgy.

You think Dr. James White is obscene?
Why?

Gotta love James White. Thanks for the link, Matthew!

Joking, Donsands.

Matthew,
Suppose I posted a comment at your blog that contained a link to my blog and other selected links and you allowed it to stand. Then suppose you came to my blog and saw that I and others totally distorting your views in a thread and decided to answer the distortions in a blog post on your blog rather than continue in the thread. However, when you left a comment explaining your intentions with the link to your blog, I would not allow it to be posted because I was afraid my readers might go to your site and stumble with the views you espouse.
If I did such a thing, I think it would speak volumes about my character and point to an out of control arrogance!

I am the naive one at times Matthew.
