LOOKING TO PRAISE AND WORSHIP JESUS THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD. 18 No man has ever seen God at any time; the only unique Son, or the only begotten God, Who is in the bosom [in the intimate presence] of the Father, He has declared Him [He has revealed Him and brought Him out where He can be seen; He has interpreted Him and He has made Him known].

Chasing the Wind

"If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth."
-Colossians 3:1-2

Just a reminder this Lord's Day to not under-spiritualize His kingdom. Let us not to chase the wind seeking what is on earth, but "seek ye first the kingdom of God."
- Matthew 6:33

All ye regenerate souls who have been raised with Christ, remember: "you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God."
- Col 3:3

Let's not under-spiritualize. We are dead to self and risen in Him.

Susan, good points. He is our King now, and is to be obeyed and followed now.

Some systems put the Kingdom as entirely future. The overall Bible presents the Kingdom as both now and not yet. The Holy Spirit is the resident Commander within the saints, leading them in the steps of the Lord Jesus. See Romans 8:1-16; Galatians 5:22-23.

Col. 1:13 - He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love...

This verse indicates that we were under the power of darkness until God conveyed us into His Son's Kingdom. Service and obedience to Him is both now and not yet. Our obedience now is not any less important than at some future time. We are in His Kingdom now, under His rule now.
