A Work In Progress: Colin Maxwell Dictionary On Free Grace Theology Terms
Here's a start on the FG dictionary:
God’s Free Will: Never thought of that!
Old Time Non Calvinist: Some one whose theology was formulated before 1980
FGer who sees the light and goes over to Calvinism: Breath taking apostate of the highest order, but still saved anyway. Probably only get a run down, rat infested shack in Gloryland. I jest:0)
Moving in Free Grace circles:Going round and round and round
Ultimate assurance: Being asked the join the UoG team and getting your name on the "Who" list on the top left hand corner (The "Who's Who" of Bible truth)
Quoting John Calvin favourably even if you are not a Calvinist: Living dangerously on the very precipice of temptation. :o)
4 Comments:
All a spoof, of course, and all in good form.

Free Grace Theology = Be anything you want to be after you begin with simple faith........
IOW, as long as you get saved by "simple faith" in Jesus at your beginning, you can go on to add works, other Gods, atheism, or anything else to your religion and rest assured you are saved. Discipleship is for rewards and failure to perform works can mean you will be in the outer darkness of heaven. But, hey you have made the cut and are in heaven.

May I add a few entries to your Free Grace Lexicon? If you keep these in mind, they will help you understand how the extreme FGers manage to get around the clear teaching of Scripture and hold their theology intact:
“do the will of the Father” in Matt 7:21 = believe in Jesus
“follow Me” in John 10:27 = believe in Jesus
“did the good deeds” in John 5:29 = believe in Jesus
“perish” in 2 Peter 3:9 = experience physical death
“know Him” in 1 John 2:3 = really, really, REALLY know Him!
"weeping and gnashing of teeth" = what all unbelievers will do in hell and most believers will do in the Millennial Kingdom
Oh, and lastly, a "traditionalist" is someone whose interpretation of Scripture predates Zane Hodges.
