LOOKING TO PRAISE AND WORSHIP JESUS THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD. 18 No man has ever seen God at any time; the only unique Son, or the only begotten God, Who is in the bosom [in the intimate presence] of the Father, He has declared Him [He has revealed Him and brought Him out where He can be seen; He has interpreted Him and He has made Him known].

This 'N That

Coming up on October 15th is this blog's 3rd anniversary. You can see my first post here, http://mdpmusings.blogspot.com/2005/10/marks-musings.html.

In a coupla days my lovely daughter turns 21. Then, on the 18th, Karen and I will celebrate 22 years of marriage.

The election is just a short time away. Originally I was not too excited about this one. Then came "the Governor". She knows and Loves Jesus Christ. She is a Reagan Conservative. What's not to like? I don't see how McCain/Palin can win this one; but at least this election gave us an opportunity to see that people like her still exist in the political world. May the Lord be with her and her family.

I'm resigned to a Repulican loss this time around. We have that Carl Rove invention sitting in the White House right now to blame for that. Too bad he wasn't really Reaganesque.

The thought of a baby-killing, gun-hating, Christian-mocking socialist in the White House... Karen, where's the blood pressure medication?!

Mark,
We must not give up just yet. The ACORN and Ayers connection must be made with vigor. I have a post on my blog that I will put here on Ayers if you like?

Maybe Rose can tell us how Ohio is reacting to the voter fraud going on there.

Mark, I'm trying to reply to your email. It's bounced back to me, undeliverable, twice.

Wayne,
George Will, bless his soul, has it right: when Americans check into their 401k's next time around and see how much of a hit that they are taking after all the goings-on of the last couple weeks, this whole ACORN and Ayers thing will just seem to be nothing but anger and resentment coming from the mouths of those who are behind and desparate.

It's over. This blog will now return to things spiritual. Thanks anyway.

Mark

I knew y'all were only a month behind Roger and me...just couldn't remember the date. :-)

Not to sound like I'm copping out, because I will do my duty and vote, but take heart...the exact man that God ordained from the foundation of the world will be the next president.

The king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes. Prov 21:1

...For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Rom 13:1

So...in this, too, we can rest in the sovereignty of God.

Gayla,
Jeremiah, knowing full well that God was in control of the fate of Judah, still had his emotions engaged throughout his ministry.

Take a load off bro Mark and take your wife to see Fireproof this weekend. You won't regret it and it'll help you stop thinking about all the fog going on in our country right now. It's got some hilarious stuff in it. It's a lota fun:-)

Grace upon grace,

Brian

Wayne,
I haven't heard much this week about it except the same national news items you have. I keep falling asleep at about 10:15 every night (Levi wears me out during the day) and so i don't get to see the local news at 11 as I had been used to.

Mark,
It aint over till the fat lady sings.
